[ Kanda, who'd spent some time prior enjoying the delights of Purgatory, returns to the Nishikiyama Family's seating area just in time for Mine's match. His patriarch hadn't noticed him, his thoughts somewhere else, but Kanda's lighter still bathes the end of Nishikiyama's cigarette in its flame. Once lit, it's concealed somewhere within his jacket. He sits down on the end, obscuring Nishikiyama's line of sight and cutting Kazama from view. For once, however, his inability to read the room is appreciated. Nishikiyama leans back where he sits when Kanda abruptly cheers for Mine— the one who'd defeated him and stolen his slot to fight. ]
